THE TRUE FACE OF TSR: The dangers of visiting thesimsresource.com

Have TSR had your files deleted by Mediafire?

Have TSR had your files deleted by Mediafire? In the increasingly likely event this should happen there are 3 options that you can do.

Option 1

Do nothing.  Upload your files to another host and hope this does not happen again. Tom has not had much luck deleting files from http://www.99p-services.in/filehost or you can shop around, try different services. Try to find a host that is less gullible than Mediafire, one who actually checks that any files reported as ’stolen’ from TSR are actually stolen.

Option 2

Email Thomas, he is the one who had your files deleted, so he is really going to listen to what you have to say right? Sit and wait while Tom forwards your mail to his inner circle for giggles and await his reply… He has replied! Wow you must be special, this guy has listened to what you have to say and has bothered to reply, what a saint! Read carefully where he tells you it was not TSR, while disregarding the Email from Mediafire that says it was. Mediafire are a bunch of liars anyway. Now you find out from your new friend Tom that Mediafire employs a pirate named Lachandra. It was her that had your downloads deleted.  She is one of those greedy pirates in the community who want everything for free and that is why she is taking down free files…wait.. huh?… Nevermind, it must be true. Tom’s a genuine nice guy, he wouldn’t make something like that up.  She must be the one hacking all the free sites too.  Damn Mediafire pirate. Thank Tom, tell him how much you love TSR. Do not forget to add how you always hated the greedy attitude of the free community anyway. Hope he one day offers you a place in his great community. Make sure your sub is renewed. Write to Mediafire and demand they fire Lachandra. Spread the word to everyone that TSR is innocent and to keep an eye out for the evil Lachandra. Make a shrine to Tom in your bedroom, and nail his picture above your bed.

Option 3

Instantly change all your passwords to one you have NEVER EVER used on TSR. Write to Mediafire, calmly explain the situation and forward the email you got from them. Inform them that the accusation is false. Tell them that in order for you to understand the complaint against you, you need more information about the complainant and you need to know what necessary steps they took to verify that you did steal from TSR and also what steps they took to verify who in TSR was the actual complainant. You need to find out:

  • Was the complaint filed via an online ticket system, or forum? If so, did it log the IP of the complainant?
  • Was the complaint filed by Email? If so did the Email of the actual sender match the Email listed in the complaint? ( DMCA )
  • Was the DMCA filed by fax? If so you need details on that and a copy of the signature.
  • Did they contact the complainant by telephone? If so did the number match the one in the DMCA?
  • Finally, did they email the complainant to notify him that they are taking action or send an auto generated mail  to confirm his complaint has been received?  ( usually, they do both ) and if so did the complainant respond in any way to stop the deletion?

You then need to find out the steps involved for restoring your files,  and also for making a formal complaint against the complainant.

If you have written to Tom and been ridiculed with his LaChandra ‘joke’ make sure you forward that mail to them as well. Ask them to confirm that LaChandra ( or any of the other Mediafire staff who may be mentioned on the take-down email  ) actually exists and is not a member of the Sims community/pirate/supernatural source/crazy cult or whatever story Tom has spun you.

It is up to you which option you take and how keen you are to get to the bottom of this.

TSR attacks Baufive: UPDATED

In the same style as Zveki was attacked, TSR have now attacked another website with a false copyright infringement claim to Mediafire. This time it was Baufive from b5studio. Baufive posted a message stating that Mediafire had suspended his original content downloads due to a complaint lodged from TSR, claiming copyright infringement. Below is a donated screen cap of the post ( Cropped and red splodged by me )

View from clicking on Baufives downloads

I am told that not only has Baufive NOT infringed any copyrights, he is also a paying subscriber at T$R. He plans to contact Thomas and try to get this resolved, however the last person to do this ( Zveki ) ended up being the butt of a cruel ‘joke’ and was additionally slapped with a lifetime ban from TSR. http://tsr.mustbedestroyed.org/?p=1450

It will be interesting to see what reply Tom has planned this time.

Thank you to ‘Anon’ for the information and screencaps.

UPDATE:

The TSR sock puppets are out in force ( estatica.. really?? ) While Tom remains silent. Possibly he’s either contemplating his next ‘joke’ or busy hacking Baufives YouTube.

Update 1: Tom went for the old joke… and they say lightening never strikes twice :)

Update 2:

‘Someone’ hacked Baufive’s Gmail account. How kind of Tom to be the first to notice and let Baufive know on his blog account.

Of course you did Thomas, we believe you.. or are you just taking the piss? I wonder if that last sentence is a thinly veiled threat?

Zveki is back! Pescado saves the day ( Again! )

Great news! Zveki is back :)

As you may remember Zveki was the subject of take-down demands, false TOU reports, hacking and a cruel ‘ late april fools’ joke at the hands of TSR. http://tsr.mustbedestroyed.org/?p=1450  The loss of his files and youtube was so upsetting that he decided to quit the sims. He had a change of heart and briefly hosted his files at LivingSims on April 24th, however LivingSims was the subject of a hacking just 2 days later on April 26th. Now Zveki is hosting with the great El Presidente of our sims Tropico and savior to many, Pescado.

It is GREAT to see him back, and he is now free to host or convert any file or mesh without the fear of hacking or false TOU reports from T$R.

If anyone has any of the missing files for Zveki’s houses, please could you donate them back to him, and let’s see if we can push his YouTube channel subscribers back to the 1050 it was before Thomas @ TSR hacked him.

TS2 Hair – FOR FREE!!

As you may already know, SunsetSims is a truly awesome site that quite legally shares TS3 subscriber content, including TSR, for free. ( Observing the games owner, EA’s permissions and EULA. ) Up until now Sunset has been a TS3 only site. Todays wonderful news is that Sunset has now branched out to include a new section for the frequently requested TS2 hairs! So all you Sims 2 players, get yourselves over there now!

http://sunsetsims.mustbedestroyed.org/index.php/category/ts2-hair/

Considering Tom is paying a truck load of $$$ to Skysims ( AKA Butterflysims ) for exclusive TS2 hairs, he is bound to be shedding a tear or two at this news.

On the subject of Tom and his tantrums, fans of TSR filesharing may want to check out this file host.. :)

TSR THIEF Weeky~ ” It wasn’t me, it was my ‘friend’ “

http://jinhee_a.blog.me/110136203550

When Korean artist Rusty Nail visited TSR this week, she noticed something very familiar indeed! Rusty’s dress, which she created in 2011 has somehow ended up on TSR SA Weekys account and was labelled as her own work!

Here is the dress in question uploaded 2011 ( as seen on Rusty’s blog ):

Take special note of the red text at the top.. Here is is again for those at TSR who may have missed it.

Now here is TSR Weekys ‘creation’ uploaded Jan 6th 2012 and revised April13th 2012 ( As seen on TSR ) ..

A closer look at the texture reveals.. ( as seen on rusty’s blog )

As anyone can see, there is no doubt that the creation was stolen from Rusty. When confronted with the evidence, Weeky had a very ‘Weak’ excuse. It wasn’t her! Nope… it was her ‘friend’.  You see, her ‘friend’ uploaded Rustys work to her account. and as soon as her attention has been brought to it she has deleted the download from TSR. She has failed to mention why she had not noticed this download up on her own minisite since January, despite her visiting the site to upload 14 more sets since then.  Whatever that excuse may be, I am sure it is about as believable as the excuse explaining how the download got there.

The excuse – So good she made it twice!

From Rusty’s blog:

The irony is that this is TSR, the site that has been going all out to destroy other ( FREE ) sites by falsely claiming they are stealing TSR’s ‘property’ ( In most cases, such as a recent claim against Zveki, this is a complete fabrication and the content in question has been made entirely by the Free artist.)

Hacked, TOS’d and victim of a cruel ‘April Fool’ UPDATED

Most people celebrate Easter by eating chocolate or going to church, Tom celebrates it by sacrificing a member of the free community, I guess he was all out of goats.

TSR Thomas has yet again destroyed the work of a talented creator and freesite owner. This time not only did he file blatant false TOS reports, hack him and then release some personal information, he also made his victim the subject of a cruel ” Late April Fools” joke and has spent most of the day laughing at him.

Some of you may know ZVEKI from sites such as LivingSims or TheBlackPearl and also his Tumblr website. On his site he had some Sims 3 downloads that were converted from TS2 meshes, a few of these meshes were originally made by TSR artists. TSR demanded he remove these downloads from his site, Which he immediately did, although he was doing nothing illegal or unethical in hosting these – in fact by TSR’s own standards this practise is totally acceptable, such as when TSR take a mesh from a TS2 base game, stuff pack, or expansion  and convert them, they claim the rights to the converted mesh belongs to them and therefore  is theirs to sell, so by these standards the rights to the converted meshes now belong to ZVEKI. Even so, Zveki was kind enough to take them down from his site and they were instead hosted at sunsetsims. All the downloads that remained belonged to Zveki and had nothing to do with TSR.

Tom, unwilling to let this rest then decided to report EVERY download left on the site, he filed a false report to Mediafire stating that these remaining downloads were the property of TSR and were stolen by Zveki, as a result all his downloads on his site and on other sites were deleted by Mediafire.

On the same day Zveki’s  YouTube channel was hacked  and all his videos , all the files he was working on and over 1000 subscribers were lost, his account name was changed to ‘I STEAL FROM BIGGER AND BETTER ARTISTS’ and his telephone number was displayed on the page.

It gets sicker.. Tom has been laughing about it all day. What Tom has found really funny is that he spoke to Zveki  and has somehow convinced him to go after someone called  LaChandra, saying that she took down Zvekis downloads because she is working for ‘pirates’. The part of the ‘joke’ that Tom did not share with Zveki  is that LaChandra is part of the Anti piracy team at Mediafire, and although she may have technically been the one to remove the downloads, she did it because of a direct report ( A LIE ) from Thomas himself. Tom is calling Zveki a “late April Fool” and he cannot wait to see him publically accuse a member of the Mediafire team of being a ‘pirate’ and a hacker.

Tom says he did this because of Zvekis association with Sunsetsims, although this is just a pathetic excuse because he was targeting him before he hosted some of his files there.

Although gleefully joking about his false TOU report, Tom has not openly claimed responsibility for the YouTube hack, (..he has not denied it either ) However the fact that the hack was done on very the same day as his false report and also how he referred to the hack before it was publicised raises no doubts in my mind that this was another TSR hack to add to his collection.

To put a cherry on the cake, Tom has also banned Zveki from TSR for life, although this is not a bad thing, at least he cannot steal any more updated passwords/personal info from his account. Sadly, as a result of TSR’s harassment, Zveki has announced that he is no longer creating for the Sims. I wish he would reconsider and not make this too easy for that smug little b’stard.

Word of warning to Tom, while reading the TOU on your many visits to Mediafire did you read right to the end?  No? Better up the subs at TSR, you may have a bill coming…

Pedobear: Under attack

It seems some images on my site were attacked, mostly those images connected to prior articles on attacks against both Sunsetsims and Levini. These images have now been restored.

As one of the main targeted images was a photograph of TSR Thomas with his best bud Pedobear, I can only come to one conclusion – That the attacker was one of the two people in that photograph. It does not take a rocket scientist to work out which one. Clearly Pedobear is embarrassed at being associated with Thomas and it was him who I suspect attacked my site images.

SunsetSims: Under Attack

SunsetSims is an amazing site notably providing all TSR subscriber downloads for free. It has very quickly become public enemy no1 within the TSR camp. Sunsetsims has suffered countless attacks in the past from TSR, including 3 full site deletions due to false TOS reports directly from TSR. Pescado came to the rescue, hosting Sunset on his servers. The attacks did not stop, this time continuing with false reports to her file hosts, resulting in her downloads being deleted.

Just under 2 weeks ago, around the 14th March Sunset was taken down by a suspected DDos attack, the site was down for around 10 days. It returned on the 24th and was operational for only a few hours before a virus was ‘injected’ into the site. The purpose of this virus was to redirect users away from Sunsetsims to other random sites such as Google, yahoo, youtube and various news sites from around the globe. Luckily this virus was easily detected by most AV’s and was easily cleaned from our computers but the malicious intent resulted in the site being inaccessible until it was finally cleaned today. Within a couple of hours of the cleaning it was attacked again, this time with a suspected DDos attack leaving the site again, inaccessible.

Sunsetsims is working hard to resolve these problems and will be back up and running ASAP. Rest assured on its return it will still feature all the latest subscriber content from TSR, for FREE saving you $$$ on illegal subscription fees. enjoy :)

TSR Tech Support

What happens when you download dodgy files from TSR and they break your game? You call on TSR tech support of course..

This unfortunate downloader had been crying on chat and had received zero help, she was eventually told to post on the forums, by which time she was very upset.

TSR tech support at it’s best I see.

Not just reading, probably laughing as well.

 OK good…?? Seriously?

You may have told them, but they did not listen..

First of all, Sammy, she posted in the chatroom and was ignored, she did not expect instant answers, just answers or maybe an apology- after all TSR’s buggy, trojan ridden shit has just broken her game, so a sorry would be nice. She did not yell at any people trying to help, in fact she did not yell at all and there were no people trying to help. It does not take much to deter TSR tech support from helping you. “Hey I’ve got a problem” usually does the trick.
