THE TRUE FACE OF TSR: The dangers of visiting thesimsresource.com

December 5, 2008

TSR shares FULL HOME ADDRESS.

In todays update we find out why Jassims was really booted from TSR, and TSR sickeningly share a full name, full address inc zip, telephone number and Email of one unfortunate victim.

The artist in question, may not be the most popular artist in the community, but ask yourselves does anyone deserve to have their full address, zip and telephone number posted in public for all to see?, this is beyond the paypal sharing, beyond any kind of decency and beyond dangerous and it could happen to anyone.

Post 1:  ulkrhsn vents  about ’stolen files’, rich coming from someone who steals meshes from EA games.

Continued: A grade A complaint moaning   ”she makes money of MY work”  **Newsflash** -Tom does that to you on every upload you make.  She continues, “Tsr doesn’t need good thieves ..”  I guess ANY skill level of thief will do in these desperate times.

Post 2:  Astounding example of Pot Vs Kettle.

Post 3: hagerks calls for a ban.

Post 4:  Tom resists the urge to steal her files and charge for them, instead he takes the unusual step of removing them all.

Post 6:  A Sickening display of TSR revenge posted by Atwa’s buddy, BlackGarden. I have blurred the details below, they appear on the TSR forum in full with no blurring. The unblurred post contains her website address, full name, Email, Full home address inc zip code, tel. number, fax and host.  In order to complain to a host all you need is the host address and the site address you are complaining about, there was no need to to share all her private details in public.

Post 6: ulkhsn suggests an abusive phonecall

TSR have evidently not changed their stance on sharing users personal information, They have got worse. They are not only a danger to your bank account and sanity, but now to your personal well being and safety.

  1. That’s immoral.
Besides, they make money off EA’s meshes, so I don’t see how they can complain about people making money off theirs.

  4. OMG WTF! that is bang out of order! has someone reported them to pay pal as they take that sort of thing very seriously! I know it is wrong to actually say others creations are yours but doing that with the address is just wrong! anyone could see that and the person could get alsorts of weirdo’s calling or sending stuff to her address! That is wrong and just goes to show why t$r sucks!

  5. Don’t get me wrong, because what was posted on TSR -was- really shameful – but WHOIS information on websites -is- publicly accessible, except for in the minority of cases where a webmaster can pay extra fees to their domain registrar to have their personal information hidden. Even in those cases, a lot of times some private information is still visible (such as even a phone number).

So yeah, this was TOTALLY wrong of them to post on one hand – but you can do a WHOIS for free on any web domain.

  6. Man, TSR is a rip-off site and I can not believe of what their doing. They are going to expose everyone online. This is an outrage. All what I know is that TSR must be dealt with and must be destroyed. Literally speaking!

  7. That’s terrible.. have these chumps been caught? I really hope so because, if someone does something like that, why would you do that to them? What if someone shared their information? If things end up like that, why not share their information.. they’ve already shared a lot. :S Oh well.

  9. This is completely outrageous. Certainly they should have been sued a thousand times over already!
To what extent should you go to to protect your ‘original work’?

  10. I can’t believe what my eyes see. Sharing third person personal information in a public internet space? That’s actually ILLEGAL. The morality in TSR appears to be something missing.

  11. I think it was wrong that Jassims did that.
but releasing her information in public is just damn horrible.

    How inappropriate.
    I will now support PMDB.
    Fuck TSR!

  12. I have never in my life seen people so mentally disturbed in my life, I mean come on! It is just a game. They should seriously think about taking all that TSR money and paying for very expensive therapy sessions for everyone there. What do they gain from it?
