I would not read too much into the theory of the Windkeeper rebellion, I suspect this is part of a bigger plan. There have been ‘incidents’ of this type over the last few days.
Firstly, it was claimed, that every single FA had their blog attacked, and links to my blog and the booty were put up. I have not seen evidence of this myself, apart from a small amount of referrals in my stats. No damage was done to any FA downloads and this was done at TSR’s quietest time, so not many sheep would have seen the links. It was blamed on ‘pirate hackers’
Next, within hours of my article on FAIL Sauce, again at a quiet time, another ‘ pirate attack’ This time all the downloads were removed, and links to the booty and my blog were left, the FA was Cyclone Sue, who is semi retired and no longer updating. All files were restored soon after with a handy backup, and no downloaders were upset.
Now windkeeper, another FA, who is not updating, all her downloads were removed, at a quiet time, and again just after my last blog update. Links to the booty and my blog were left. Files are now restored, and each attack seems to be designed not to do much harm to TSR, or upset it’s submitting FA’s.
It is clear to me that this a lame attempt by TSR to ’prove’ that they are being hacked by myself and/or ‘the pirate hackers’ The leaving of our site links was far too obvious, though. Tom might as well have just signed our names. Tom = FAIL.
Well, if he wants people to think it’s hacking, he needs to get a little more drastic in what he’s doing to himself. I can think of certain sections that I would love to hear were hacked, but they aren’t on his site… GROW UP, THOMASS! Stop throwing a hissy bitch fit tantrum and grow a pair. You are your own worst enemy when it comes to P.R. and the greatest buddy a pirate could have, because you do all the work for us when it comes to proving what an immoral scum-sucker you actually are. May your profits show all the dents of a Saab left outside in a hailstorm, asshole. Oh, and Tommy, SUCK IT, BAY-BEE!!

No surprise there – it’s the last trick in the book to keep FA’s from leaving TSR because of Thomas’s vile actions. This way Thomas can go all out against ‘enemies’ and still keep FA and other TSR member’s support.

I know that, in my state of the US, hacking is illegal; since I honestly do NOT believe, at all, that the pirates or Coconut hacked TSR (they’re a lot more mature then doing what happened), why don’t we all just push him to ‘build a case’? When he eventually backs down and just says ‘not worth it,’ it’s sort of proving to everyone that he knows where the evidence would lead (back to him or a cronie). It reveals him for the jerk he is in front of the community, in front of EA, in front of everyone. And then Coconut or the pirates could sue for libel if he -really- puts this out there since he’s tarnishing their good name.
Of course, I think it’d depend on where TSR is hosted, and I’m not extremely certain on the legal procedures and what is necessary to file them. xD I can also think of several reasons why this would be stupid (namely, Coconut would have to out herself, giving us less anti-TSR proof).

And if they were really being hacked by *cough* bad pirates*cough* I’m sure they would have not stopped (so conveniently) on non-updating FA’s. The dread pirate haxxors would have taken out the entire FA database instead. (and Thoma$$ (I mean haxxors…)feel free to do what I just said.) It would just equal out to moar epic PHAIL. Sheesh, I don’t condone hacking in any shape or form on any site BUT if someone was to hack TSR you’d think they’d do a better job of hitting about 3 FA’s with a couple of booty links. Obvious Thomas is obvious.

I found your site last night because of seeing Windkeepers page. I am still trying to figure out what is going on. I don’t follow forum stuff on tsr. I really want to know what is happening. I don’t want to support tsr if they are a bad site. To be honest, I like tsr because of the friends I have made. I hate their new look too. Will you please email me at the address I gave and let me know what is going on? I don’t want them to have any of my bank account info if they are sharing my info! Please help!

Thankfully the Pirates do not approve of nor engage in childish hacking of sites. As pointed out, if we did it would have been the whole site, but we do not approve of illegal activities like some people *cough* Thomas *cough*.
As was said earlier, grow up Thomas and stop acting like you are 7 years old and think your toys are stolen. And get a real job while you’re at it.

An attempt to break into TSR by hackers? No. Thoma$$, don’t make us laugh. Your sense of humour is very twisted and is becoming a concern. As Pescado has said, if that was really true, then they wouldn’t have made themselves known just yet. TSR is a perfect environment for phishing aficionado’s to set up and make camp for a while. Then once TSR had lost their ‘usefulness’, then that’s the time to attack, cripple and then leave. It is very sad to watch a person’s state of mind crumbling. How could you lie to your FA’s? Why don’t you let them go free.
Thoma$$, you’re credibility is disappearing as quickly as your subscribers are cancelling their subs. You know what the sad thing about this is? It is that you are doing most of the damage yourself. What are you trying to do? Show existing and newly baited members that your site is now unsafe? You want it to appear to be vulnerable to hackers and other miscreants? I was so pleased when my father, Sabiàn, finally cancelled the subscription last year. That money instead is now going into a ‘pocket money account’ which helps to pay towards our weekly activities. But I will have to say one good thing about TSR. In that it is a place where creators can host their things to a worldwide audience without having to pay for their own websites. It is a place for people to socialise. But that is where it stops. The line is heavily drawn when you have to start paying for downloads.
We spend enough on this hobby already in purchasing the games, without having to then pay extra for objects that are not always as good as they say. My father could not really afford to pay the subscription, but he did for us because he loves us. He knew that it would make us happy. But now I feel guilty in ever asking him as the money could’ve gone towards other things instead, as it now does.
I only wish that EA would step in and do something about this. But I know that they won’t. They want to keep making as much money as they can even though we are all going through the credit crunch.
Please stop all of this Thoma$$. Think of your own family. What you are doing to them. You have at least one young child, yes? Who will one day look up to you? Do you want them to respect you? To be proud of you? Can you imagine how they will feel when they find out that their daddy is not the man they thought he was? All for the sake of making money. For lying. For greed. Compelled by greed, consumed by greed.
Always remember, your lies will come back to haunt you. Your truth’s will be found out.
From this day forth, though I may not yet be old enough, I shall always be a pirate and I will always seek justice for the things that I believe are right.
