THE TRUE FACE OF TSR: The dangers of visiting thesimsresource.com

To continue with the subject of ‘The simsecret hacker’ I will recap on any knowledge that I have and continue to gain on the subject, and any knowledge I have on previous uses of the hackers proxy IP within the sims 2 community.

The site ’simsecret’ was hacked recently, the exact date/time is unknown, the hacker removed all reference to TSR, including but not limited to, incriminating screenshots taken of TSR staff and owners sharing information gained from paypal transactions, admitting DDos attacks on other websites, and including Trojans in their downloads. Means of entry is unknown, attackers IP was a proxy. The proxy IP in question is 78.129.197.69.

The history

This IP is from a paid proxy server provided as a gift to Atwa from Tom and Per, shortly after she was fired from both positions of AM and FA, ( after a PM from her was made public containing a racial slur and an unsavory ‘joke’ about a community member with a brain tumor. ) It was given to her to hide her real IP so she could make a new account without the TSR moderators and staff she had abused finding out her new identity, the plan was for her to be fast tracked back into both positions under a new name, while all the time she was still collecting wages on both jobs. She was never really ‘fired’.

Of course being Atwa, she abused this IP, and her stupidity of accidentally logging onto her ‘old’ accounts with her proxy coupled with her proxy either failing or her forgetting to turn it on on her new accounts, exposed her real IP’s ( Home and work ) on all her accounts. After she went too far abusing DOT in the forums, Steve decided to lock ALL her accounts, including the one she wanted to keep, Effie. She then exploded with rage creating yet another account and went postal, telling a number of people what she really thought of them. In the cold light of the following day, still reeling from having lost her ‘Effie’ account, she concocted a story that all her accounts were ‘hacked’ but after finding out that her proxy slipped and her own IP was exposed, which is how she was caught, she then changed the story saying her both her home and her works computers were hacked, her real IPs were stolen, and it really wasn’t her, .. honest! ( and can she have all her accounts and jobs back plz? ) Unfortunately for Anita, although you may find this hard to swallow, somewhere in TSR there are some people with computer knowledge and a shared brain cell, so her astounding story was not accepted as an accurate account, to say the least. She then went on to gain a sudden interest in hacking, posting her ’story’ around forums in an attempt to find out if it is indeed possible to steal someones real IP. Perhaps the most poignant of these fishing trips being her post on Busbra, in which she admits using the proxy.

Later, after finding out it wasn’t, she made a short lived claim of seeing someone outside her flat with a laptop and equipment that night, but then dropped the whole stupid story after Tom reinstated her as administration staff, and more recently allowed her yet another account to make the promised FA position with. What is laughable about her laptop story is that the person she accused of hacking her is from the UK, and Atwa is is Sweden. Atwa is well aware of her location, so just what was she suggesting she did? [ Laptop? check - Passport? check - Tickets? check - Haxxors manual? Urmmm check! ]

This Ip has been tied to so many accounts, with all of them eventually being associated with Atwa. Here is just some of them documented. Atwa, beasims, EffieB, EffieM, Queenbee, simslover2, BlueMoon2, Chris, Christie, Cantare. Blue Haven, and the aptly named simfreak, to name but a few. ( some of these names also contain numbers, which I can not be bothered to look up at the minute ) She has more recently taken to stealing names of other community members to hide behind.

WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING

First, I would like to thank Gayle for coming forward with this screen, posted at P.M.B.D

The curious thing about this one, is the email, which is not associated with Atwa, That email belongs to Toms wife. It is also not her more public mail, this is her primary private email and not known to many, if anyone, outside of TSR. to show I am not merely going off the first name, I can confirm the very last letter of that obscured address to be ‘N’ It is also not the known family surname. It is very doubtful that she made this forum account herself, and even more doubtful that she had anything to do with the sims secret hacking, I would assume the only one who could have gained access to her mail account would be her husband, which ties both him and Atwa to actually using this IP, even though we already knew he had access, as he paid for it.

Speculation

It would be difficult at this stage to speculate which one, if any, was responsible for the simsecret hack. Both have access to the IP, Both have been documented actually using it. both had good reason, in their opinion, to do this, Atwa had made threats to get the site taken down, presumably by a violation report. Tom, however appeared less bothered or obsessed by the site. Both had been logging into someone else’s account on the TSR forums, Toms is documented here, and not denied in his reply http://tsrcoconut.wordpress.com/earthgoddess-lets-anita-have-it/ ( post 15 ) and Atwa was banned from the forums, for this in June, after using someones account without their knowledge or permission, if anyone recalls the ‘oh so banned’ incident, It’s evident that neither are beyond logging into another persons account. Let’s also not forget their infamous threads on planned DDos attacks, trojans and the odd virus thrown in for good measure.

An interesting but unconnected observation is they both show no regard for Toms wife or her privacy.
